I used to use AVG on Ubuntu, and using AVG I found an infected file. The file was hiding in /host/Users/Bella/Documents/. I then uninstalled AVG and decided i should use Avast! again. Today, after finally getting avast! to work on linux, I scan the system for virus. Avast! first appeared to be completely oblivious to the file in the which the virus' where hiding. So I opened up terminal, used cd ('cd /host/Users/Bella/Documents/') then scanned again. This again failed to pick up the directory, let alone the virus'. I then went to the lengths on typing in the full file name, attempted to scan. This time it gave me this "
#
# Statistics:
#
# scanned files: 0
# scanned directories: 1
# infected files: 0
# virus database: 111105-3 05.11.2011

#
" which does not help at all with removing the virus.
When I scanned with AVG it told me there was a trojan downloader, multiple worms and tracking cookies within and yet Avast! fails to even open the directory to scan it.
Please help me!
Thanks,
