Based on a quick read of some descriptions it looks as if EasyPass stores data on the local device and synchronizes that with the Avast server(s).

Well there you go.  The possibility of using a separate sync tool to accomplish those other approaches *should* have been obvious to me once I read that files can be manually copied from one machine to another.  I'm glad to see that mentioned as practical in a FAQ.  Thanks for the link Asyn.
