I have been up all night and I have to go to work in  2 hours.  Very upset with my daughter.  Luckily it's a on the feet type of job and I will only be there for 5 hours.

So hopefully by the time I get back from work something will be here for me to work with.  :)

OK here we go - the trouble with kids is if the ad says free and cool together they must have it, and cute smileys are a must have for young girls

I may not have got it all on this first run- so when you re-run OTL again select all users

As the fix is so large I would like you to do the following:

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Download the attached fix.txt to your desktop
Run OTL and press the run fix button
A dialogue will open asking for the location of the fix
Select the fix.txt you have on your desktop and press run fix again

I am on my other computer.  I am running the program as we speak as I just got home from work.

Will let you know when it is complete.

Is it on the reset host file section ? or clearing the temp folders ?

If the later - dependant on the last time it was cleaned it may take up to 15 minutes
If the former then just close OTL and reboot

It rebooted itself and I think that the program was in the reset host section.

Attached a file that came up whe the computer restarted.

What are the current problems ?

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.[/b]

THEN

Please run a fresh OTL scan

Wow the Malwarebytes file really shrunk! Only 2 Items.

Adding the file.

Will now run the OTL
