Not enough user rights to continue?
« on: November 18, 2004, 01:43:47 AM »
Hello,
Avast Home, stopped updating yesterday with the error message, "not enough user rights to continue".

I tied uninstalling and installing a new download version but the same message popped up even disallowing the uninstalling procress. Next I restore a drive image from a week ago but still the same message, which I now thought may be Avast server problems.

Still I was able to remove Avast manually and I cleaned out Windows registry of all reference to Avast but still was disallowed to install the software again. Same message.

Now I don't have Avast installed at all. Does anyone have any ideas to what may have happened?

The error log is pasted below.

Well, did you try to log in as Administrator and install avast! under that account?
