avast iyogi scam
« on: November 30, 2011, 04:07:22 AM »
I payed iyogi tech support $170 to fix my computer. They did not fix any of my viruses and are now refusing my calls and chat requests. I am going to have to contest this charge on my credit card, I don't know what to do.

Have this started because some Avast relation with iYogi?

If that's the case, then contact Adam Riley by email

Code: [Select]
riley At avast d 0 T  c 0 M

Include all relevant details.

I'm not sure he can actually do something about it, but since you came here (Avast forum) to comment about it...

Has there EVER been anyone who was treated properly by this service? I mean seriously avast! team, why are you sticking with this nonsense? It's just a bad name for you and nothing else, because so far i haven't seen ANYONE to EVER say, Yogi helped me and tehy are awesome. Never.
I mean you get way better support here on forums by freelancers for well, free than from this iYogi.

Well, it's because when somebody is happy, he/she won't join the forum to talk about that - especially if that operation itself could require another phone assistance (for users with little computer experience).
So yes, there has been - a vast amount every day. What you see here, however, is only the tiny fraction from the very negative side.

Still, i don't recall many complaints about this forum or phone/mail support. Even long before avast! went into bed with iYogi.

And what happens with the people who come here and feel ripped off by iYogi ? Do they get their money back ? I am asking, because I have never seen any follow up posts from Adam about his investigations in such cases.

... contact Adam Riley by email
Include all relevant details....
this is useless, nothing ever happened in cases like this.

... however, is only the tiny fraction from the very negative side.
for a respectable company this is more than enough reason to undertake actions for keeping their customers satisfied.

... I have never seen any follow up posts from Adam about his investigations in such cases.
like i said above, contacting Adam brings nothing.

Well not contacting him brings even less, you have to make him aware of the crap that is going on. Otherwise you are just capitulating and accepting the status quo and that is what I would say is unacceptable.

If you don't hold their feet to the fire nothing will be done for sure.

Why do you wish to know, as you aren't from avast support or iYogi ???

If you have had a problem with iYogi then you should recount it.

The OP won't be able to tell you anything about that, you can use the forum search function to satisfy your curiosity.
