I would just like to state that after repeated problems with Avast updates on my Windows XP SP3 machine, I uninstalled Zone Alarm prior to the current Avast update and this time, I have had no problems at all. There must be some sort of conflict between the two, so if you want to keep Avast, I would recommend getting rid of ZA which is now well known for conflicting with many av's. Your choice.
