Endless loop
« on: November 21, 2004, 08:20:38 PM »
Scanning inbound messages, a virus message appears, when I choose "delete" or any other option, following message outputs and the process  continues endlessly.

Did you set avast to work in Silent Mode?
Maybe it deletes the attach automatically and when you try to do it manually the file was already deleted...  ::)

No, it is not in silent mode. It happens with "win32:netsky-p(wrm)"
Please could you tell me what would happens if I press OK when a virus found message appears?
Thanx

Nothing. I mean: the viral code won't be executed and you won't be infected.
Only that the viral code (file attached, etc.) will remain into the email.
But in this case, never turn off the Standard Shield protection that will do its part anytime and protect you  ;)

Riki, what version of avast! do you use?
Would you be able to save the message to .eml format and submit it to us?
