I was working on October 28th on a 2 month old Dell Dimension 8400. When I booted B.A.R.T. 2.0.100 it couldn't find the 'C' drive. It turned out the 'C' drive was a S.A.T.A, but when I used the F6 to load the drivers off the 'A' drive floppy, although it showed the, I believe, correct driver and indeed loaded it, it still wouldn't recognize the 'C' dirve.
Later, I tried the same version of B.A.R.T. on my son's home built computer with a S.A.T.A. hard drive, the 'C' drive was recognized immediately, that is without loading any S.A.T.A. driver.
Any help? This could be a problem as more and more S.A.T.A.s come on the market.
(Note: this is the same "article" that I posted in the "BART and Serial ATA Hard Drives" thread earlier.)
