Personally i'd move the "About" menu to the main menu. It's strange having ABout menu inside Settings...

Maybe strange, but pretty common - a good example is Android itself... :P

Download link of apk
« Reply #66 on: December 12, 2011, 12:35:10 AM »
Please, post a download link of the avast apk. I can't download from the market, an error appears.

Also, my Galaxy Y s5360 is rooted, but DroidWall which uses iptables returns an error that kernel should support netfilter owner match module. Does avast firewall require iptables and/or any special built options in the kernel? Main phone has Android 2.3.6, kernel 2.6.35.7, iptables 1.3.7, rooted – Superuser 3.0, su 3.0.3.

Thanks,

true indian

I think the whole agreement to have it for free implies that it is just downloaded from the Android Market. Just guessing.

Firewall doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360
« Reply #69 on: December 14, 2011, 09:32:01 PM »
To answer my own question. Avast Firewall doesn't work with Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360. The following error appears, when I try to enable the Firewall: "Your operating system kernel does not support netfilter, so the avast! firewall will not work. To solve this, flash a custom ROM with full netfilter support."

So DroidWall and now Avast! Firewall don't work with Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360. Don't bother to root and install these firewalls on that phone. As long as I know there is no custom ROM available for it, yet.

I wish I could have added the Portuguese translation.
It was finished on Monday, but I took some extra day for refining and corrections.
It was a very busy December... I think I could send the translation tomorrow, only for the final release I suppose.

I wish there was an online dashboard so to speak where one could control all the tracking and anti-theft features.  AVG's mobile app has this and i think it would be much more convenient than the SMS commands.

Love the app by the way! Definitely sticking with it and uninstalling AVG  :)
