my computer is a windows xp 64-bit. And when i put the license file it asks me if i want to put the file in with those specific "parameters" and it says its supposed to expire next year, not NOW of all times. So I don't understand what you're getting at. I mean, my dad purchased this product for me, and I don't exactly see an option that will let me re-download 6.0 without spending money. I still have about 2 months left on my subscription, is there a link to download AIS 6 and use the license key I have so I can get my antivirus software working again?

And I apologize for how slow I am when it comes to this stuff. I appreciate your patience.

That doesn't make any sense. How do I fix this?!

Well... I never saw this problem.
Click Start – Run, type “winver” and press enter.
This should show the “About Windows”  with Windows Version and Build. Post it here (save and attach the picture - PrintScreen).

Okay, here's a screenshot of the window that came up.

Wow... quite strange.
I'll ask for help to the programmers. It's beyond my knowledge.

Alright, well I shall wait patiently for a response, but I revisited that link you posted earlier and I found a place to download for existing users after navigating the page a bit more. That one is probably more up-to-date than the one I already have. Maybe this one will accept the license file. I will let you know what happens.

Alright, that worked. The setup program I had on the computer was out-dated. The one I downloaded thanks to your link accepted my license file. I will make sure to bookmark it for the future.

I am still worried, though; I don't understand what went so horribly wrong with a simple system restore to cause this problem in the first place. My best guess is something got corrupted, maybe?

Windows XP x64 basically is Windows 2003 (the binaries are the same), so the detection is "correct".
