Clock alarms not working

Since installing avast! Mobile Security - my clock alarms do not sound.  How do I unblock the killing of these alarms.  My clock app is Alarm Clock from Android Market.

Must be app specific problem because Android stock alarm works fine for me on Cyanogen 7.1.
