Could Avast free be blocking CitiBank Virtual accounts popup preventing me from entering my personal information so I can purchase 2 years of Avast 6?

I called citibank and they say I need to download adobe flash for this xp32.  Download site suggests I turn off my virus/avast.   I can download adobe setup but it does not open.
WHy is this taking forever?

citi is telling me to try using IE and when I go to IE I get this message.  I'm thinking IE is not working.

The address is not valid

   Most likely causes:
•There might be a typing error in the address.
•If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

   What you can try:
     Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.
