aVast SBS Server Edition problem
« on: December 03, 2004, 01:56:15 PM »
I currently have a client running aVast SBS server edition, it runs on an SBS2003 standard server.  aVast appears to be running correctly but the Anti-Virus event log is filled with the following message:

================================================
Cannot commit changes to the message. Error code is 0x8003001D.

Message info:
From: "xxxx" <xxxx>
To: "xxxx" <xxxx>
Subject: Vãlium Hree

================================================

NB. Names and emails replaced with "xxxx"

Like I say aVast seems to be working correctly but these errors concern me a little.

The server is running:
aVast version 4.1, Build Nov2004 (4.1.345)
VPS Compilation Date: 02.12.2004 File Version 0449-1

If someone could shed some light on the cause of these errors it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance.

Rgds, Rob

Does this happen for every message that goes through?

Does the virus disinfection work? (try e.g. sending the EICAR test virus from www.eicar.org )

Thanks
