How can I add NIC drivers?
« on: October 09, 2006, 05:52:01 AM »
I need to know how I can either add extra NIC drivers to my BartCD.iso so they get used automatically by the 'Start Networking' wizard or how I can force the system to use these other drivers.

I can't seem to get networking started with several NICs (more specifically some Broadcom NICs). They aren't included by default in the pool of drivers and I don't know how to envoke the use of them.

it would also be nice if there was a way to hot swap a USB drive once the system was up instead of having it either be in at startup or just not accessible.

Bart 2 CD.....Network option doesn't work-

*on a Dell PC with a BCM5705M Gigabit Ethernet (static IP) it can ping itself, but not the gateway (host not found)..... I only used IP address, not names, so it's not a DNS issue.
*on a Abit PC with a Realtek RTL8139/810x (static IP) it can't ping itself or the gateway (host not found)..... I only used IP address, not names, so it's not a DNS issue.
