I think Avast giving false alert on Wordpress
« on: December 16, 2011, 03:42:53 AM »
I donor my time, hosting and labor for a Church here in Puerto Rico and I installed Wordpress fot he site. beatocmr.org. They called me that their Avast are giving them the virus alert on the page that

Object http://beatocmr.org/]>{Embedded:DeanEdward }
Infection JS:Iframe-DV[Trj}
Process: C:\Programs Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

I've seen all my Wordpress pages do the same. I re-installed and upgrade Wordpress and the databases several times and the themes. And the hosting provider have checked all the times I have called and it is fine on their side. I think theres is something wrong with the Avast definitions and Wordpress, themes or a plugin. Help me. The church will make a Christmas activity and want to have the page fine for the announcement.

The domain is: beatocmr.org
My other domain is mejorvidapr.com

Hi heidie, welcome to the forum :)

Please can you modify the link, to prevent others potentially becoming infected. (change http to hXXp) Thanks.

I can't seem to access either domains (500 and 404 for them) so can't specifically say where the script is.

I can point you in the direction of a similar thread which had the same detection mentioned.
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=90145.0

Take a look for similar scripts in the site, and check all of the pages.
