avast mobile - theft aware - map type
« on: December 22, 2011, 06:12:12 AM »
Prior to Avast acquiring IT Agents..
Theft Aware by IT Agents offered an option to choose which map type is used.
That is: Yahoo Maps or Google Maps and so on.

The Avast Map is not favourable !!

Please give-BACK the option to use Google Maps !!

Cheers in advance

Hello,

the avast! map is acutally an augmented google map. I can't see any draw backs here.

Yes, it's a map from google, but this map is not zoomable. Only similar to the google map classic view for mobile. It's not the same like in the old ITAgents version. For me, a step backwards.

I agree, would be great if we had the option for Google Maps link instead.

I find the map too small to be off any use as you always have to zoom to see where the location is.

Looks like I will just stick with TheftAware..

Is it possible to get that link to open the Google maps application like it did in TheftAware, instead of opening another Internet window.
