Did test last night.... sorry for late answer but could not reach this forum last night.
No improvement, still same behaviour.
Did store settings and checked the setting that they could be read.
Then did the commands lost, locate, and then wipe which all worked fine.
After wipe, reboot, and doing the standard q&a-stuff at the beginning, i ended up with my HTC Desire HD having the anti-theft installed, but not activated, not set up with name or pw, and also not set up als admin.
In that status i did for fun try to check the "stored" settings and again did get the answer that the settings could be read.
