« on: December 29, 2011, 02:12:24 PM »
Hi,

i´m using SGS 2 with Android 2.3.4.
I installed Mobile Security with Anti Theft and at first i tried to send some SMS Commands to my Phone.
12345 LOCK,   12345 SIREN   eso.
But every Command is showed in SMS Manager and nothing happend.
Do you have any Hints for me whats going wrong?

OK - i know what you mean :-)

I tried it with some diffenrent Passwords...an all Passwords are defined in Anti Theft.
My friend use Anti Theft on a Milestone 2 and it works.

Esser, sorry, but like you I need to learn more about the Mobile Security to further help.
If it helps, avast SMS commands list: http://www.avast.com/en-us/free-mobile-security#tab4
For instance, SIREN ON or SIREN OFF and not just SIREN.

@TEch: Thanks for the List, but there is list with Commands in the Help Chapter inside the Phone.

And belive me - i tried the simple Command "LOCK" at first.
2222 LOCK  or 1234 SPERREN (in German).
Always the same result. The SMS is shown in the default SMS APP.

Is it possible that the SMS APP ist the first app wich get the Massage and Anti Theft is not able to Check it before ?

Use your real password and all the commands in English (only).

i tried in german and english with my real password.
I installed the programm at motorola Milestone II and everything works ok.

i think it has something to do with the sms programm.
Could it be that anti theft can´t read the message before the standard messenger ??

No. SMS commands stands as they are; antitheft has a prior access to receiver of SMS. For your case I can not see any possible research so far you are not very precise on description.

What is the SMS Manager you are talking about? Is it the stock messaging application or some 3rd party application downloaded from the Market?

OK - SMS commands are know working.
The Problem was the SMS Gateway i was using for sending SMS Messages. The Gateway changed something at the format of the SMS Massage so Anti Theft couldn't recognize the command. A Test with an other Handy was succesful.

Thanks for your help.
Best regards,

A.Esser.

Hi,

I think the anti-theft guys might be interested in this. Do you think you could write the description of the issue to the Theft Aware forum? Seems like you speak German, the guys there speak the same language so you might use it to your advantage :)
