call blocker feedback
« on: December 30, 2011, 08:33:26 PM »
i just tested the call blocker, it rings for a split second on my galaxy nexus then it disappear, this is true for every call blocker that doesn't use root permissions to intercept the phone system, so no surprise there.
also the blocker is missing a useful GUI, since i can only create a group and not easily dis- and re-enable the rule. logs are missing too.

if you could create a root call blocking solution that is on par w/ call master i'd happily pay up to $8 for an in-application upgrade.
have a look at call master: https://market.android.com/details?id=fahrbot.apps.blacklist and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1291587

i'd looooove if you did this.

To be quick:

Logs are there (see the Log button at the top right?). If you want to disable or enable certain rule, just check/uncheck the appropriate days. I know this isn't the easiest thing to do, but the filter is designed in a way that you should just make the rules once and change them only occasionally.

We might do some root filtering in the future, it is yet to be decided.

thanks for your replies.

i just did a quick test, since i won't use the blocker until it has those features :P looks like i missed the button.
just wanted to point out what would be needed to add in order to have a blocker that really works/has features.

looking forward to the upcoming updates,  enjoy your vacation.
