Virus found: Win32:Dropper-IDS [Drp] in Google Android SDK
« on: January 06, 2012, 08:05:52 PM »
Hi!

I ran Avast the other day and found this virus:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\LocalCopy\[FFA...]-installer_r16-windows.exe

I checked the file and it was the Google Android SDK that I had previously downloaded.  The thing is, Avast did not detect the virus in the original download file.  This is a clean install od Win7 Professional, so I'm having doubts that it is a real virus, but a false-pos.  Any ideas ?

welcome to the forum. I suggest you upload the file to virustotal.com and post the scan log here so we can have a look on it and determent if it a real or false threat.
