Hi
i have been testing avast SBS to scan exchange server. It was ok

after i restart the server avast Exchange is giving me the message
"the provider is waitingn for a subsystem to start"

the first time i could see that avast was scanning my exchange.

Which provider are you talking about, exactly?

Exchange 2000/2003, or
Outlook/Exchange?

Outlook/Exchange protects Outlook (client program) only, and changes the status from "waiting for a subsystem to start" to "active" only when Outlook itself is running. Exchange 2000/2003 (and SMTP 2000/2003) is what you need on the server.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.
