avast disabled without my request

Hi,

I am using the free version of Avast and my antivirus has been disabled twice without my request.

Can you advise how I can prevent this please

control panel>add or remove programs>select avast>selet uninstall>in the new window>scroll down and select repair>allow it to complete>reboot...

that should fix it...

Have you thoroughly cleaned out all remnants of old AV's ? run the removal tools from here http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/ with reboots inbetween for every AV you might of had in the past, when completed follow with a repair of avast and reboot again.

See how that goes  ;)
