Skype
« on: January 08, 2012, 03:07:18 AM »
Hello good people! I've read this and that and decided to ask you, the best forum on the web: is Skype a safe program to install and use? Does it really spy on you, call home and send you commercials etc.? Or is this all bull****? Thanx!

Most social programs are safe if used properly:)
I use Skype quite often to talk to friends far and near.

I used the standard set-up and it works fine.  :)
May I suggest you use PayPal. My bank would not let Skype auto-pay.
Someone in Europe managed to "hijack" Skype payments.  ???

I use Skype as my main "land line". So having a subscription is a must and it's cheap.
Let's hope MicroSoft keeps it afloat.  :)

My main land line is MagicJack Plus. I just kissed the phone company bye bye and now
pay a wapping price of $19.95 per year for unlimited calls throughout the USA and Canada. :)

I don't think the mentioned "easybits" thingy comes with skype by default, but I may be wrong. I'm not sure how did you get to that article (in which exact context it was posted).
