« on: January 13, 2012, 12:48:16 AM »
I cannot find a reference in Avast to remove this Trojan. Can somebody help me please? Is there a way to remove it with Avast or not?

Yes. ;)

Repair avast!:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> avast!
2. Scroll down and click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

Repair did not correct the issue. I will run the Essexboys guide after work today.

p.s. I have been looking over Essexboy's process which refers to the geekstogo.com virus removal instructions for Win 7 Internet Security and it states that Malwarebytes "completely" removes this virus. (Perhaps not.)

I will run the OTL and post when I am back at my home computer.
