Errors in kernel log with latest beta
« on: November 02, 2011, 09:00:36 PM »
Just installed the latest Avast for Mac beta, and was looking in console for logs (planning to set up an Automator script to copy logs regularly for PCI compliance), and noticed this:

com.avast.AvastFileShield Warning: Unable to retrieve file path. Skipping. [2]
Nov  2 19:52:46: --- last message repeated 5 times ---

this is repeating constantly.

for me it wasn't the kernel log but daemon.log who grew to 2.7 GB in a couple of days.

The log was filled with "DATE ... Clean: '/some/path/qrxz'", I removed the Clean output with "grep -v "Clean" daemon.log > d.log and the rest was 104 MB...

I've uninstalled the beta aswell until this is fixed. Is there any purpose of have such a verbose output?
