Voices of Avast
« on: May 04, 2012, 01:53:39 AM »
I was near my computer and again heard the familiar voice of another update to virus definitions.  Suddenly, it hit me that I thought it should sound more "piratey" as it were.  I was thinking something along the lines of "Avast!  There be a new update.  Aye..."  and "Arr, welcome aboard matey."

I was going to come in and suggest it, but before I got to, there it was under a Fun link.  It sort of made my day when I tried it out, reminded me of Mr. Gibbs from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Just thought I'd point it out to anyone who might not have noticed that there's been an option for different voices and, for the more serious out there, several language variations.
