Backup configuration
« on: November 27, 2004, 12:57:44 PM »
Greetings to everybody
Is there any chance to export my actual configuration to a file so I can use the same settings in another computer importing such file?

Wellcome!
In fact, not... I asked this feature a lot of times to Alwil  :-\
You can backup avast4.ini, avast4.mdb, avast4.xml files (all into data directory under avast folder).
You can export Windows Registry keys too (but I do not recommend it).

Did you take a look into 'Settings' in my signature? You will find how configurable is avast  ;)

Yes, you have made a great work !!!  :)
One more question, what exactly is The Bat!?? An executable? A resident program? How do I start it?

The Bat! into avast is a plugin, i.e., a small program that starts when the main one (here The Bat!, an email program: http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/thebat/) is running. The plugin will scan the email messages into the program The Bat!
