jdbgmgr.exe
« on: February 25, 2003, 12:38:21 PM »
I have received an e-mail from a contact saying they have probably passed on a virus called "jdbgmgr.exe" with instructions to remove.

Avast has not picked this up, but there is a file in Windows/System with that name.  I have deleted it, but now wonder whether I ought to have done so, or is this a hoax ?

Please advise before I e-mail the instructions to everyone in my address book.

Thanks Raman  ;)

I have found more about this hoax at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;322993.  It says there that most people will not need to replace the deleted file, but anyway I have downloaded a copy from the Webattack.com site.

Keep up the great work !!
