BSOD in aswmon2.sys
« on: August 25, 2003, 03:20:49 PM »
I left the machine running over the weekend while I was away. Monday morning, I had a BSOD in aswmon2.sys. I would give steps to duplicate the problem, but I wasn't at the machine when this happened! :o

I have a full memory dump if needed (129MB zipped).

Athlon 1.4Ghz/512 MB RAM, Windows XP Pro SP 2

avast! version 4.0 Home Edition
   Build: Jun2003-2 (4.0.235)
   Xtreme Toolkit version 1.9.4.0
   Using ActiveSkin version 4.2.7.3
VPS file (viruses database)
   Compilation date: 22.08.2003
   File version: 0308-1

I wanted to put Avast on my web/ftp server, but with this BSOD hanging around, I'm not feeling very comfortable with that idea.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi could you please send me the minidump?
(located in \windows\minidump).

Or can I download the zipped full-dump somewhere?
I'm quite curious...

(better send me an IM or mail than posting here).

Thanks
