Persistent "Malicious URL Detected"
« on: January 12, 2012, 03:32:40 PM »
It seems I have picked up the same malware discussed in the following thread, "Ping.exe and av security 2012 [Solved]".  In additional I am seeing suspicious behavior such as my CPU being pegged in my tray icon, but the process is not visible in Task Manager.  I downloaded combo fix and followed the direction found in the aforementioned post; however, it complained that avast was still running even after I shutdown all my Shields.  It ran all night and never completed.

Please help!

My laptop has been out of commission and would not start up.  I had to do a System Restore to the Jan9 restore point.  I have now been able to run the procedures up through the execution of aswMBR.  I have not yet run RogueKiller or the farbar service scanner.  I have attached the logs from the other scans.  I am hoping that the one detected item in the Malwarebytes log was the culprit.  As I am typing this message, I have not seen the "Malicious URL blocked" message that was very frequent before.
