double modules?

I downloaded Avast 4.5.523 when a popup told me an update was available and the update installed itself without me doing anything.  Since then, my computer has slowed down a lot (though I did put other programs on).  I see in System Information/Software Environment/Loaded Modules/ that quite a few Avast modules seem to be loaded twice and wonder if this is normal?  There appears to be only 1 copy of each dll file on my hd.  XP SP2  Thanks

The only I can see it two different ways of writing the paths to the same files:
One for DOS (short path): c:\progra~1\alwils~1\avast4\aavm4h.dll
Other for XP (long path): c:\program files\alwil software\avast4\aavm4h.dll

The files aren't loaded twice, in my opinion, just twice shown

I did wonder if that was the case but it seems strange that only some Avast dlls are shown twice and dlls from other progs are all shown just once
