After looking at the results on VB100 it does have very good score's but i would hate to think what impact it has on the system with 4 scanning engines.

Sorry but this is starting to smell like an ad for another AV program
disguised in a smokescreen about combining avast! with some other programs.
I don't want it. I'm happy with the way avast! protects my system while not slowing it down.
I haven't personally tested the other AV but, with 4 engines, I highly doubt it's light on resources.
100% protection is never possible and 99.999% when it uses 99.999% of your computer isn't something I want.
99.999% Protection at that high a resource price
just isn't  nice..... ;D

True that

Quote:

" Minimum system requirements

Dual core CPU (Intel/AMD or similar) ;D
    2GB of RAM
Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 (32-bit/64-bit)
800 MB available hard disk space
    Internet connection*

Due to its multi-engine nature, Coranti requires an additional one-time additional download of 300MB of signature files after installation. Coranti signature files are incrementally updated (at leasy) daily and are around 1-2 MB each time.

Recommended system requirements

1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor or a compatible.
    2 GB of RAM.
Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 operating systems (32-bit and 64-bit).
2 GB hard disk space "

Guys ...
Coranti Multicore Antivirus & Antispyware  is the most powerful antivirus program ..
Why Do!?
I say that, the Japanese wanted to produce the program to reach full perfection ...
Currently he is No 1.
Avast! is strong but I think that, with 3 cores will be able to compete with Coranti

Here are some examples Multicore:
Coranti:
- BitDefender
- Lavasoft
- F-Prot
- WebRot

TrustPort:
- BitDefender
- AVG

G-Data:
- BitDefender

GFI (VIPRE Antivirus):
- BitDefender

Avast! "MultiCore Security" 2015 (For Example)
- Avast (World Fastest Antivirus Program)
- Emsisoft (World Most Powerful Behaviour & Virus Blocker)
- Comodo (World Most Powerful Firewall and Host Protection)
 ;D ;D

btw gdata uses avast and BitDefender.while sunbelt uses their own signatures

Avast doesn't need anything else added to it.
