AVAST! Hang on Systemstartup - when fixed??

Hello,
I know I'm not the only one who has the problem that avast needs several minutes after login into windows to start his on access scanner. But it would be interesting when this boring "bug" will be fixed?

Is this Win2K with MS Outlook installed?
That's the only environment we're aware of having the problems you're describing.

If so, it will be fixed in the upcoming version (4.6). You can try the beta meanwhile, if you want.

I'm using Win2K SP4 + latest patches and outlook 2K3 is installed but not used - provider for outlook is active.
PS: How stable is the 4.6 beta?

I have been using it for the last couple of weeks, its been very stable on my System, there was one or two small bugs, but they seem to be fixed now.

Maybe a little bit off-topic in this part of the forum but I can acknowledge that the hang on startup is fixed in avast! 4.6
