Schedule Client scan at Shut Down
« on: February 03, 2012, 12:40:39 PM »
Hi guys,

Is it possible to scan the computers while shutting down? So when a user hits shut down Avast begins with scan.

Everybody is whining about how slow their computers are while scheduled weekly scan !

Thanks in advance,

Possible solution could be avast! screensaver.  Then it is always scanning while idle!  J.R.

other than that you could try scripting a shutdown on the pc ,

I have to say i used to do a lot of scripting in the old days of NT4 and server 2000 but i don't know the scripting now on the new Windows 7 and server ect as im sure its changed with newer GP and AD

but if you do a bit of research on it you may be able to combine the command line scan of avast

and the auto shutdown of windows 7 (if you use xp then do some looking)

If you manage to do it please post back with your results, im interested to see if someone could do it.
