Stopping firewall blocking printer connection

Having dreadful problems with Kodak wireless printer - connection keeps going and I've established that internet connection is fine, so Kodak suggesting that I ensure the firewall isn't blocking Kodak.  How do I ensure that it isn't?

You dont say what firewall You have.......is it avast AIS with firewall ?
