Reporting bug: Site blocking doesn't work
<snip>

It would help by giving some information on what doesn't work, e.g. the site you are trying to block and the URL string you are entering. Break any link if it is a suspect site changing http to hXXp.

I've tried
google.com
http://google.com
No one of these got blocked. Tested on VMware workstation Windows XP
Real-time protection and Firewall: COMODO Internet Security 12.0.0.6810 -- Additional Protection: Web Of Trust, Ublock, NoScript, Malwarebytes Premium, Avast! Online Security, Hitman Pro -- OS: Windows 10

Did version 7  of avast improve the behavior shield?

some of new features of behav shield are:
  * added new method of finding suspicious process
  * enabled more blocks which can be done by autodecide mode
  * added wildcards to trusted processes dialog
  * improved stability/compatibility

Has anybody seen a virus database update message from their avast 7 beta yet?

as i really dont know if avast is automatically doing updates or not....On the update tab it tells me a update attempt was made yesterday...i have tried a manual update but it does complete....it doesnt even say if virus database is up to date or not it just shows the time taken for the check for updates....The lat update attempt counter is dead...i doubt avast is checking for update automatically.

Look, Vlk has already asked you to stop this bloating this topic, if you have a specific problem then start your own new topic in the beta sub forum.

So stop the continual posting about the same things in this topic.

avast 7... man i love the new cloud service... at first i downloaded malware on to my host machine and then avast sandbox identified them as suspicious and ran in sandbox and the next thing you know when i test it on my virtual machine for youtube uploading (15 links) avast already got the signatures for the unknown malware i threw at it earlier... simply amazing :D btw the beta works perfectly fine :)

Custom Install in Avast Free also gives the Paid features like Firewall, SafeZone, etc & and are ticked by default & can be ticked/unticked.

So I did default install & it was fine, no paid features after install.

I wonder if custom install gives the paid features or paid products if installed?

New Feature Avast Anti-Phish

Avast Anti-Phish Screen Attached

Anyone know if its is database only or some kind of analyzer like heuristics/behaviour too?

I think Get Me Out Of Here should have the word Recommended.

And after Clicking Get Me Out Of Here, either it should show the default Home Page or Something from Avast like You are safe now or like. The current page after clicking Get Me Out Of Here is not good.

I believe it allows for upgrading/trialling the free to paid options in the future.

Attached the Avast Page after clicking Get Me Out Of Here.

The attachment size limit is 192 kb?

I got this when I tried to attach this in my previous post above.

When you attach an image it would help if you aren't using /maximized/full screen (1280x800) and or crop images to only show the relevant part of the image, that would keep the file size down.

You can also save a file as 24bit (or even 8bit) .png format and that also reduces file size.
