Have installed latest ver 7 AIS over my ver 6 AIS with no problems, and none of the issues described over past pages...all is good here, look forward to the release.  :)

Do any of you think it would be safe for a user like myself who has never used a beta before to download it and not expect computer crashes? :P
OS: Windows 11 64-bit
Webbrowser: Mozilla Firefox
PC Specs: Intel i5-12400f, Nvidia RTX 3050, 16gb ram, 1.5TB SSD(s).

I'm using a similar system as you...Win 7x64 SP1 (currently IE9) ..I downloaded the beta on day 1 and again today and have yet to see any issues. I think my pc is pretty clean but no tricks...it's up to you but it looks pretty smooth so far.

I have never used an avast beta version, version 7 is my first beta to test and it is pretty stable. It just saved me from a virus while i was browsing the web.

Dear Sirs

As raised on my reply #310 on 13 February, I confirm that the connection to one of cloud services - streaming updates, cannot be established permanently though its setting is enabled.  Your early remedial action is highly appreciated.

Regards,
A. Chung

I have been using this recent beta, launching all my programs in order to see if there is something wrong with Avast 7.0.1396 but everything is working good here.

1.-Avast 7 scans all my computer in 9 minutes, the same qty. of time it used to do it with version 6
2.-Web rep is working in IE9, Firefox 10.0.1, and Google Chrome
3.-Services in the Cloud are always working and connected
4.-AutoSandbox is working well and I saw the new way it scans files yesterday (I liked it)
5.-Registration went fine, I still have 360 days left.
6.-All shields are working very good and graphics too.
7.-E-mail shield is working fine with Thunderbird 10.0.1
8.-I haven't tried remote assistance since I do not have any one to try this new option
9.-Updates are going fine, 2 or 3 times a day.

So I think this is a very stable Beta, and I really should thank Avast Software for this.

I have a question though:
In Web Shield there is a new box saying (translating, since my language is Spanish) Scan traffic for well known broswer processes only (Should I thik this one? what happens if I don't?)

Another thing is that since I intalled Avast 7 it is Soundless... does it mean everybody testing this new beta is soundless too?

Please let me know your comments.

BTW, this is not a new option. It was actually existed from version 6.0.1289.
If you tick that option, then only the traffic of well-known browsers (IE, Firefox, Google Chrome etc.) are scanned. On default, the traffic of all processes are scanned.

Another thing is that since I intalled Avast 7 it is Soundless... does it mean everybody testing this new beta is soundless too?

Hi

It's my first day with Avast 7, and I think it's pretty good   :D I just have one problem!

The Cloud Service:

It says:
Reputation service: Enabled
Streaming Updates: Enabled
But in the middle it says: Connection not established..

Who do I solve this problem?

Thanks  :)

@Hamilton
In cloud services its showing connection not established
This is totally normal for now, because the program is still in beta phase and the servers may go down and up during this time. ;)

It's a known issue, not sure though if it's just the servers or a problem in the beta but should be fixed when released.
