Dear Sirs

Having tried the updated beta v7.0.1401 on my home PC equipped with Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (32-bit) for a few days, I am puzzled by the newly introduced cloud services, where reputation services and streaming updates are enabled as shown on the setting.

It is obvious that the connection to these cloud services cannot be connected securely and permanently.  Are they connected to the server on an ad hoc basis?

Regards,
A. Chung

@ MaxReed,
I see someone else is using JetScreenshot.  :)
I did not know how to upload an image so I've seen what others in the forum are using and I found jetscreenshot! XD

Do you not understand this is BETA software and these systems are on trial?

Its the 21st sod do you honestly feel the current beta3 build is close to being released, regardless of what has been said.

We are still seeing bugs reported (though not many serious issues), personally I would have though another beta build to confirm that previous bugs reported have been squashed.

I honestly don't care when it is released, only that when released it is fit for purpose, there are areas that aren't fully working yet.  Much of that may be to do with having the back ground infrastructure up and running, so that streaming updates, clouds services, web file reputation analysis, etc.

I'm using the Beta 3 version and for me, it's good enough to be the release version. I haven't had a single issue with it. I can definitely see the release happening on the 23rd.

That may be the case for many, but as I said bugs are still being reported and some don't appear to have been resolved, certainly not in beta3.

there seem to be an issue with the boot scan freezing some systems, well vlk said that was already fixed internally ... other than that, I don't see any show stopper, so I can well imagine the final to be out in two days now, just my opinion ;)

If the "connect to  account" is part of the registration process then that still needs to be addressed.

Right n ow it's not working.

Yes it does need to be addressed as you also can't create an account.

It works fine Bob . You just need to create the account first by going to the site. Just having Avast doesn't cut it. There does need to be a link to the account page in the GUI however. That's the only thing that's missing IMO. I created my account without a problem at the site.

It doesn't work at all
You can't sign into your account from the UI and can't establish an account either. Since that's part of the registration process, it has to work.

No, thats why I wrote "according to"

I don't care when it's released (but others do), beta 3 is stable here, but I know there is bugs in it, but I have no problem using beta 3, 4...47 or whatever, I'm a happy avast user regardless status of the current version.

But since avast wrote 23 feb on their official fb page, I posted the news...but I will walk back in the corner now and just lurk around the forum!

As you can clearly see from my last post creation of an account through the UI, isn't working, certainly not when I tried.
