It's hard to believe that so many people don't understand what a "Beta" stands for and they seem to expect a perfectly operating package.

Although the expectation towards a beta version might be "too high" sometimes, every "complaint" is a report, which forces to improve the beta. Unfortunately, in many cases the complaint has no value as a report since no useful information is provided (starting with the version tested).

Hi, AdrianH

Thank you for your reply #484.

I wish that my feedback would be a little help to avast! team on improving the current beta version, if appropriate.  Assuming that this forum "avast! 7 public beta" is intended for?

Regards,
A. Chung

It is obvious that the connection to these cloud services cannot be connected securely and permanently.
It will be completely solved in the final version.

I am sure that is what you wished, however as stated the first time you made the same observation, the whole system is in BETA. The servers you post about are being worked on and as avast staff posted here  they were not going to be available 24/7 until the installations and testing are completed.

What is meant by Streaming updates?

Also I tried remote connection, it returned an error as code invalid even though it was Valid.

Also, Which website I can use to login for avast.?

The ability to update the virus definitions for more serious threats, etc. that shouldn't wait for the next regular virus definitions update.

Approximately when is the final version anticipated?

When its ready, regardless of what has been said in other topics and avast facebook, that it is meant to be today.

Deadlines, waste of time, just causes anticipation and disappointment if it isn't met.

Considering there is a bug in the release candidate which will have to be fixed before it can possibly be released or not only would people be disappointed if it misses the deadline or have problems with the regular program update release (if it is rushed out of the door) due to any serious/critical bug not being squashed.

@david there's just a bug in the RC installer (& uninstaller), nothing AV/Firewall/Sandbox etc... related. Won't stop them to meet the deadline ;)

Well we don't really know that for sure as I for one didn't use the RC installer, but updated from the avast7 beta UI. So we don't know how this might play out when people update from the avast6 UI, as we have no way of testing that.

It rather depends on what the differences might be between using the avastUI in the beta updates and how the avast6 UI update to avast7 works.
