Hi,

I'm not sure anyone will be able to help you, but kinda the same rules apply for PC overclocking so the results might be:

1) The device won't even start, you will have to reset the CPU clock to stock settings.
2) The device will start but the OS/apps will be unstable (more crashes than usual, device rebooting itself etc).
3) You will be fine.
4) If 3) applies, you will most likely experience higher battery drain since the CPU will require more power.

You will have to ask about speeds somewhere else I suppose.

Filip

It depends on device. You should do some research on your device. For eg. my HTC Desire Z's 800 MHz Scorpion processor on mobile forums is confirmed to run just perfectly if overclocked to 1Ghz. But a) my phone is and will remain untouched as it has valid warranty, b) it is hell hard to root newer HTC models, c) it's a risk anyway, although many users confirms it runs without problems, d) yes, it will drain battery faster when running recourse-hungry apps, e) possible your phone will heat more, so you can see consequences much more later (maybe), I think constant heating more than it should may lead to shorter lifetime of the device.

It is only my personal opinion and experience  :)
