Problem with avast! 7
« on: February 11, 2012, 08:52:47 AM »
Hi Guys,

I installed avast! 7 few days ago and it was working without any error. But today suddenly when I start windows (XP) I had no sound on my PC and avast service not started. I checked sound driver via Device Manager but there was no visible error. But when I check Sound and Audio Devices option at Control Panel, all the options were inaccessible. Then I did try repairing avast few times. But no point of repairing. At last I just uninstalled avast and now everything seems OK.

Should I install avast again and see what's happening? Do you guys got any solution or tip to follow before installing avast or after installing avast 7?

And another thing. Don't know it is related to this matter. I had Google Talk application installed on my PC and now it says my account is locked. Can't sign in with old username and password.

Cheers...

Ohw I have created a new one :( Glad if you can remove it though.

Known issues

- In some cases, WebRep Chrome plugin is not installed correctly
- The Safezone browser is opening each time when you switch back and to the Safezone
- Plugins for Outlook 2k3 and 2k7 show "runtime error" message
- Sometimes autosandbox toaster does not close correctly
- Problems with avast sounds on Win 7 and Win Vista
- Remote assistance feature sometimes crashes on Win 7 32b, Win Vista 64b
- avast! account functionality is disabled
- the help hasn't been updated yet, it's still from v6
- many of the translations haven't been updated yet, so you'll see new items in English

But known issues has no effect for this. isn't it? I don't use autosandbox feature and disabled it just after installing avast.

Thanks...
