avast startup
« on: February 12, 2012, 04:41:53 PM »
Hello to all,

How do I get avast to startup upon turning on my computer? I am using Windows XP and don't see the icon in the tray. Although avast tells me I am fully protected the only way to see the spinning icon is if I click on avast itself. It's only during startup that I don't see it.  Thanks    vince

This should be enabled by default.

Have you tried a repair of avast?

also important...
what AV did you have before avast ?
did you uninstall it before installing avast ?
did you use a removal tool to clear any leftover files that can conflict ?

Are you trying to install the stable or the beta version of avast?
