Any Idea?
« on: February 14, 2012, 05:57:00 PM »
Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could please let me know the following:

I am using Avast! 7 (BETA) FREE Antivirus, my operating system is Windows Vista Home Basic and these are the small issues I have are as follows:

1. NO Avast sounds at all :(  Will you please be able to resolve this issue before the next release?

2. Avast Splash screen on opening Microsoft Outlook does not appear even box is checked.

Any idea when these small issues may be resold?
When is the next BETA release of Avast 7 due be released?

happy avast user :)

Have you checked the release post, to see of any known issues that match yours?

...
Known issues
...
- Plugins for Outlook 2k3 and 2k7 show "runtime error" message
...
- Problems with avast sounds on Win 7 and Win Vista
...

This could explain your sound issue...can't comment on the other issue, don't use Outlook...however there are known issues with it, as evident by the quote above, so it could be related...

As for your question of when?

When it is ready. ;)
