Avast boot time scan Error 42125 42126
« on: February 21, 2012, 05:13:44 PM »
Hi, I was doing a boot time scan earlier when avast alerted me with the errors 42125 and 42126.
The files that were marked with the error 42125 were of zip files that contained an avi video file which had been split into 001 002 parts, and the file that was marked with error 42126 seemed to have been an incomplete or corrupt zip file with pictures in it. Just to be sure, I ran scans on the files again after the boot scan was complete. All files were clean. Can i take this as an indication that Avast was just unable to read the zip files due to them not being joint and incomplete/corrupt?
The boot scan turned up clean too.
Thanks.

when avast report a scan error...and the reason why....it means just that, no more no less
files that can not be scanned does not mean they are infected...

infected files are given a malware name when detected
