~SKY~, I have seen Avast 7.0.1407 in action on Win2K.
Did you try a clean install?

Vlk
Vlk, do you REALLY think, this would help?
Or is it better, to wait a little bit?
I Think, updates should be possible over the UI, too, because I don't update from a Beta-Version.
I update from V. 6.0.1367... :-\

Just like Dch48 said.

I'm trying to connect to my.avast account and the service seems unavailable.

I think it just means you can make an account through the UI  and that would sign you up for an account on http://my.avast.com  that will list your devices that you have avast on and have that account connected to.

I had to do a clean install of the free version, because when i updated via internal update the install locked up my system when i wouldn't allow it to install Google Chrome and i had to uninstall avast in safe mode, and now i can't get it to register.

If you want to register use the other way to register.. http://www.avast.com/registration-free-antivirus.php  I think avast considers this as offline registration.

Same problem here.

Edit: Has anybody here confirmed that the System Restore Issue has been solved with Version 7?
