avast 7 registration problem

everything is working great on avast 7 accept for I can not register. I did a clean install and when I go to register it just hangs.

Not directly related but the connect to avast account isn't working.

Besides not being able to activate the account (my.avast.com) I am now getting this error.
It happens after I enter my email and password.

If I try to register this appears for a few seconds but then it goes away and nothing happens.

The main problem is that I don't have "any" real time shields. And can't login to my avast account.  ???

edit: The summary show shields as off. the Real Time shields are running.  ???

If you are having problems with registration i would say use the offline version ( thats the name i think it is called )
I had problems with registration so i just used the registration form on  http://www.avast.com/registration-free-antivirus.php

I cant even register for a license via gui. They put this service is temporary unavailable
