Avast 7 Internet security and Outlook 2007 Issue

I Just updated to the New Avast through the Avast program and it seems that the program is sending all email to the Junk Mail folder marked as ***SPAM***.  I have to disable the entire program to stop it from happening.  Just disabling the Mail Shield has no effect, mail still is marked SPAM and sent to the Junk Mail folder.

Strange, for me, the opposite. The spam is marked with ***SPAM*** but not sent to Junk Mail folder

I received the 7.0 update today but it seems to be blocking receipt of emails through Outlook 2007.  ISP verified Outlook settings are correct and SLL is set to "None" in both Avast and Outlook. If I completely disable Avast Outlook will process incoming and outgoing mail without any problems. Please help!!

Meh.... maybe consider ditching Outlook for Yahoo GMail or Hotmail

Outlook = Importing all the bytes of every mail and attachment into your local PC.
And then at that point worrying about virus protection and spam filtering? 
Kinda like letting a burglar into the bank vault but then hoping rushing at him with pepper spray will keep him away from the cash....

Sooner or later you're asking for trouble. 
Or at least you put yourself at greater risk than if you handled your email in the cloud over SSL and only downloaded necessary attachments....

Result - no care about Mail scanning of Outlook,
and maybe extra $ in pocket from not paying MS for Outlook.

Hi guys

Exactly the same has happened to me, my own and even the Avast email that I used to register for this forumwent to the Junk Mail... 

So my simple question is will Avast do a repair upgrade to to resolve this?
I did look at the uninstall reinstall post but it seemed extremely complex and I'm bound to stuff it up.

I like Avast, I've had them all, believe me Avast is the best up until now 
So I assume you will sort this out ASAP

Ok folks, so I'm new to this and may be all wet. But I installed the new version this morning and thereafter EVERTHING went to the JUNK folder.  After reading the post about un-installing and re-installing (which scared me) and the one about disabling AVAST, I decided to go to AVAST Shields Control and disabled the shields for 10 minutes. I then sent myself a couple of emails and they did not go to Junk. I then enabled the shields and sent some more emails to myself and had others send me emails and ALL IS WORKING WELL. No more junk mail from myself.  Don't know if that fixed the problem but it seems to be working at this time.

Hesquell, thanks for posting what you did to fix it.  I had tried that yesterday with no positive results.  Figured I'd give it another shot today before attempting to uninstall/reinstall and it worked!  Don't know if Avast sent through a patch or not to help but email is working fine with all shields in force.

I did exactly as you said and its now working as it should, mail going to INBOX....... 
Strange why it work because basically nothing has change?? But I'll take it

A big update rocked up yesterday and all my mail is now going to the inbox
