While doing registration for new avast v7, I got the following "Not Found CASTGC Cookie"

How do I register from the GUI?

Add another dissatisfied user to the pile.  This issue, combined with Avast "upgrading" my Chrome v18 install down to v17 (see http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=93980.0 for more on that one) put a big knock on my faith in Avast to protect my machines.

I was able to register Avast 7 using the offline option in the registry page of the software. Received the key by email.
