Avast 7 Browser Protection
« on: February 28, 2012, 12:34:29 AM »
After setting IE to run in the sandbox I did not like the way it acted.  I unchecked the option but IE continued to run in the sandbox.  The only way I could prevent IE from running in the sandbox was to uninstall and reinstall Avast.
Anyone else had this issue ?

Thanks

No, I can turn the sandboxing on and off without issue. I too don't like it though and am not using it.

I think you have found a bug. When I unchecked the boxes in Browser Protection for IE and Chrome the entries remained in the sandbox virtualized processes. Until this is fixed, delete these entries instead of re-installing.

See attached.

Edit: It's not duplicating for me now.

Edit2: Was able to duplicate. It's intermittent but it's there.

Dch48, can you confirm this?

No, when I turn off the sandboxing, the entries disappear.
