Rick F, no matter how many people pop up and say.... one or two here will not understand no matter their technicality.

There's been that many confirmations they still don't get it and tell folks otherwise. Thanks for the confirmation all the same.

Whats the heck the matter with some folks on here I do not know, they will argue until the cows come home, then before long you get a herd of them piping the same hymn...... well, I ain't speaking for anyone else but I ain't no loony!

And NO I certainly don't want Chrome, I don't want to be offered it either - OK!

A security program that offers piggy back installs is a virus in itself, it's a carrier!

To provide the requested set-up log.

1) Right click on the avast "desktop" icon.
2) Click on open file location.
3) Double click "set-up" (see first image)
4) Double click "set-up....text document) (see second image)
5) Click "file" on the notepad and save to a location you can find it.
6) Attach to next post.  :)
